After having essentially struck gold upon our discovery of Amal Al Mulla’s SS17 collection, we’ve followed the label’s work with true devotion. This season, with their SS18 collection, the label has the answers to all our sartorial dreams once again.
With her designs, talented designer Amal Al Mulla has always channeled an understated femininity. For SS18, the designer brings back traditional feminine blouses with ballooning sleeves and flowing maxi skirts (which we absolutely love). When paired together, the pieces create a silhouette that tapers at the waist, resulting in a breezy look that exudes an timeless femininity & elegance. The collection is versatile in its colour palette (We love the pastel pink suit!) and prints (think classic formal pinstripes mixed with a more summery, leaf print).

One of our favourites is the printed monochrome blouse paired with the tailored turquoise skirt (a sartorial treat for the eyes). The colours (whether it’s the turquoise, the pink or the neutral beiges) and the prints together, provide a contrast that makes a statement while still being soft on the eye – perfect for a formal yet fun look for the summer.
