Each one of Helena’s collections mirror both an artistic flair & sartorial aesthetic.
In a world greatly driven by consumerism, we often find that designers are letting go of their artistic roots to rely solely on trends and currently viable ready-to-wear pieces. Thus, we were more than ecstatic to discover an emerging design talent that combines an artistic approach & craftsmanship with wearable & versatile design, to create wardrobe essentials that you won’t be able to part with. We’re talking about Helena Bajaj Larsen.
Born & raised in Paris, Helena has received a prominent education, graduating from Parsons with a semester abroad at CSM in London (Could it get any more prestigious?). Dedicating a great amount of focus and attention on textile, especially the exploration of surfaces through knit and print, Helena found herself becoming more and more familiar with inventive design techniques, particularly with those from her Indian heritage.
We were more than ecstatic to discover an emerging design talent that combines an artistic approach & craftsmanship with wearable & versatile design.
Designing her first collection with the use of the fabric ‘Khadi’, with an innovative flair (think hand-painted acid & pigment dyes), each one of Helena’s collections mirror both an artistic flair & sartorial aesthetic. With streamlined silhouettes, luxurious fabrics and immaculate detailing, this is one designer we’re officially obsessed with.
