Eager to discover more about Doaa’s journey, many sources of inspiration & the perfect gifts for our holiday season wish list, we sat down with the designer to discuss all things jewellery.
The Dalseen Brand Journey
Doaa: Since I was a little girl, I was always fascinated by the jewellery world, but what inspired me the most to actually take the first step is the great demand for value as opposed to design. I created what I’m looking for; beautifully rich luxury.
The Many Sources of Inspiration
Doaa: That’s the part where I take utter pride in heritage, and admit that my constant source of inspiration is queen Cleopatra. She’s a legend in more ways than I can possibly count.

The Impact of Social Media
Doaa: Social media is powerful but for me personally it’s also a double edged sword. Especially with something as exclusive as fine expensive jewellery. There’s a thin line between exposure and overexposure that I try so hard not to cross!
A Day in The Life of Doaa
Doaa: Even though I’m a complete workaholic, I truly cherish my role as a wife and mommy. I make sure I spend some time with my husband in the morning for a nice breakfast before we get sucked into the chaos of the day, and I also make sure I’m available for my family in the evenings and during the weekend. But I must admit, the reason I get so much done is mainly because I have a very supportive family.

Doaa’s Closet Essentials & Seasonal ‘Must-Haves’
Doaa: I’m a solid colour kind of girl and yes it’s mainly because I use my own outfits as a canvas for my jewellery. I love the clean cut look: black suits, matched with silk shirts, Louboutins and a perhaps a colorful purse or scarf.
The Inspiring Tip to Aspiring Designers
Doaa: Someone I love once told me: “let your life be shaped by the decisions you made not the ones you didn’t make”. And I turned that into a life motto that I’d always feel obliged to pay forward: don’t wait for the opportunity to knock on your door. Create it….
