The Journey Thus Far

Yomna: Ivory was a desire for self expression. It is extremely satisfying to be able to make unique pieces that reflect some aspects of my skills, my personality, and to know someone else will wear it in their own way and express their own creativity. It hasn’t been an easy journey. It’s full of ups and downs, but the key to achieve our goals is to remain patient, consistent, and motivated.

The Many Sources of Inspiration

Yomna: I draw inspiration from variety of sources. Day after day, I train myself to pay more attention to details of whatever I encounter in my life and to be precise on what people demand for real. Architecture, great works of art, nature and clean lines are all inspiring for me. And last but foremost, color is everything to my design process. I want a piece that is going to make a statement, keeping in mind that less is more.

A Day with Team Ivory

Yomna: Well never ever is it the same! Ideally we like to process and pack up orders in the morning. Jewelry making usually happens in the afternoon with a good playlist. The month before releasing any new collection is the most hectic because we have to prepare for the photoshoot and create content.

5 Years From Now

Yomna: I’d love for Ivory to mature and expand into newer territories. Our plan for the future, is to open up our first store in the heart of Cairo, after that, I guess we’ll take it from there.

The Insider Tip for Aspiring Designers

Yomna: Everything should be done with meticulous attention to detail — Researching and analyzing current trends, thinking attentively about each design regarding the quality and finish, even content creation and photography. Because adding integrity to everything, will make the result unique and special.
