Bleu Concept

The Bleu Concept is redefining jewellery design with its debut collection, ‘Reflection of Light,’ which captures the beauty and power of light. Maryam’s vision is to empower women through uniquely crafted pieces that celebrate individuality and strength, offering a fresh and innovative perspective on luxury jewellery. Here we speak with the founder herself to discover her journey.

Q: Earrings or bracelets: which is more fun to design?

A: Earrings are more fun because they allow for unique shapes and colors that frame the face. We haven’t designed any bracelets yet! But this is something we plan to launch very soon!

Q: The first piece of jewelry you ever made: what was it?

A: The first piece I made was our signature reflection of light earrings in different forms to test the right form that will look beautiful with any face shape!

Q: Inspirational music or serene silence while you work?

A: I prefer serene silence; it helps me focus and connect with my creativity.

Q: Gemstone cut: round, emerald, or marquise?

A: I love the elegance of the emerald cut; it showcases the stone’s clarity beautifully.

Q: Your dream collaboration, living or historical figure, who would it be?

A: I’d love to collaborate with Tiffany & Co., merging classic elegance with modern innovation, especially since Tiffany blue is one of the shades of blue that defines our brand!

Q: Engraving or filigree: which intricate detail do you prefer?

A: Engraving; it’s always more personalized, meaningful, and adds more value to the pieces.

Q: If your jewelry were a destination, where would it be?

A: If my jewelry were a destination, it would be a serene beach at sunset, where beauty and calmness intertwine.

Q: A jewelry-making technique you’re currently excited about mastering?

A: I’m excited about mastering metalworking techniques; they’ll allow for more intricate designs and structural versatility.

Q: The most exotic place you’ve drawn inspiration from?

A: The vibrant markets of Marrakech have inspired me with their rich colors, patterns, and textures.

Q: Personalized or ready-to-wear pieces: which do you enjoy creating more?

A: I enjoy creating personalized pieces more; they tell a unique story for each wearer.

Q: The best jewelry tip you’ve ever received or given?

A: Always prioritize quality over quantity; a few well-made pieces can elevate any collection.

Q: One word to describe the feeling you want your wearers to experience.

A: Empowered.
