Designers We Love: The Oscar de la Renta Resort18 Collection

With palm green jungle prints, sand coloured trench coats and a hint of nautical colours and styles, the Oscar de la Renta Resort collection for 2018 has us covered for any holiday we may have on our mind.

Back with another collection at Oscar de la Renta, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim turn up the youth factor for their Resort18 offering. They find, what seems like the perfect balance, between the brand’s heritage and its future. Whilst keeping the de la Renta loyalists happy, they also inculcate a ‘younger’ more ‘casual’ style – done the de la Renta way – to tap into the contemporary market.

The collection features floral bustiers paired with wide leg trousers and denim pants with a full legged flounce, that are the perfect de la Renta-esque interpretation of youth style and culture. In conjunction with these experimental pieces, the collection also captures the French label’s traditional style, with cocktail dresses and gowns for the holiday parties; in a gorgeous scarlet silk faille, along with some monochrome and dark green pieces.

The creative leads deliver the perfect balance of tradition and non-conformity this season – and have us counting down the days until summer!
