It’s the first of January, and after all the partying and celebrations, it’s finally time to embrace the new year in full force. Whilst you’re drawing up your list of resolutions, those promises to ourselves which we hope (hope being the key word) to keep, we thought of helping you with the sartorial side of things. Constantly searching for the coolest new brands and exciting designers, we’ve recently been acquainted with a selection of fashion names which we’re absolutely loving. Amongst our favourites (we have a huge list), we shortlisted the four brands you instantly need to add to your wardrobe to up your #OOTD game (a Manaal Al Hammadi coat is the perfect investment to start the year).
1) Manaal Al Hammadi
If there’s one designer we absolutely adore it has to be Dubai-based Manaal Al Hammadi. Her take on the regional classic abayas, in the form of contemporary coats, has us majorly coveting each and every one of her pieces (the stitch series is fabulous). If you’re looking to ace those street style looks in the spring, then look no further than the MAH collection; we’re already hooked.

2) Racil
Established by designer Racil Chalhoub in 2015, London-based brand Racil has quickly gained a place in our hearts (and wardrobe too). Inspired by the classic Parisian ‘Le Smoking’, each of Racil’s collections playfully reinvent the blazer style, creating pieces which are versatile, easy to wear and contemporary. The lush use of velvet in the recent FW16 ‘Dreams & Constellations’ had us swooning, and we can’t wait to see what else this fabulous designer has up her finely tailored sleeve.

3) Blazé Milano
As we’re big fans of statement outerwear, a brand that had us instantly captivated was Blazé Milano . Specialising in the coolest structured blazers and jackets, we love the contemporary aesthetic the brand represents. Perfect for the modern-day woman, wearing a Blazé piece instantly adds the oomph factor to any outfit, giving a sense of power (we approve).

The eponymous label Dima Ayad has been on our fashion radar for a while, earning major style creds for their amazing selection of ready-to-wear including the fabulous sequinned bomber (we’re in love).
