Hidden Treasures II

Although our usual choice of accessories includes the perfect statement sneakers (you’ll regularly catch us wearing our favourite Here/Now pair) or the highly coveted handbag (this season it’s anything Marni), we’ve recently found ourselves falling more & more in love with the perfect statement jewellery (from Alina Abegg to DEA Jewellery, a sublime ring, necklace or bracelet has the power to instantly add an oomph factor to any #OOTD).

The labels you need to add to your accessory drawer right now.

Last month we had drawn up a list of our favourite jewellery labels, aptly titling the selection as ‘Hidden Treasures‘. Less than a month later, our list of favourite jewellery brands just seems to be increasing. As a result, we decided to create a part two to the ‘Hidden Treasures‘ series, giving you insight into the labels you need to add to your accessory drawer right now.

1) Dalseen

Established by Egyptian designer Doaa Mohsen, luxury jewellery label Dalseen is the epitome of grace & opulence. With a keen eye for superiority in stone selection, each one of the Dalseen pieces incorporate ‘one-of-a-kind’ jewels, which reflect both the designer’s knowledge of craftsmanship, as well as her flair for all things design-orientated & artistic. Although each collection works with an innovative theme, Doaa creates pieces which she believes reflect a sense of timelessness (they can easily be worn forever). Inspired by the likes of Cleopatra (we’re also big fans of the historical icon’s flawless elegance), Dalseen is one accessory label you can’t resist.

2) Vinita Michael

When we’re on the look out for the perfect piece of jewellery, we’re often looking for an intricately sublime piece, which is elegantly timeless. With Dubai-based designer Vinita Michael, we get exactly that. The highly acclaimed designer draws inspiration from her Indian heritage (often looking to the rich metal craftsmanship & techniques of her homeland) to create striking pieces which often use the likes of precious stones, gold & sterling silver. Her recent collection ‘Flora Fantastica’ translates the designer’s reference to nature in the form of pretty rings & cuffs (both palm & ear), that use unique silhouettes & stunning designs for the ultimate effect (we’re honestly in love with).

3) Alexia Jordan

Greatly inspired by culture (especially since she’s had a diverse background growing up between Moscow, London & New York), Jewellery designer Alexia Jordan amalgamated pop culture & luxury to create her debut jewellery line-up, titled ‘Symbols’. Carefully choosing emblems & designs which reflect a meaning, each piece in the collection works with a minimalistic aesthetic & clean lines. The result? Statement pieces which rely on simplicity to mirror a sense of elegance & classiness. Whether you decide to wear your Alexia Jordan piece during the day or in the evening, the versatility makes it perfect for any occasion (What else could we ask for?).
