1) Anna Short, Colour Director, Selfridges

Anna Short: “For a gentle transition into the new season, shadowy roots are starting to make an appearance. Placing some subtle highlights around the face makes this look more polished and deliberate, rather than grown out neglected roots.”

2) Chloe McNeil, Principal Colourist, Marylebone

Chloe McNeil: “This AW it will be all about the tone, whether that’s warming up over processed summer highlights to more gold, copper, caramel or mocha tones, or adding a hint of chocolate or rose to brunettes.”

3) Daisy-May Twyman, Senior Colourist, Marylebone

Daisy-May Twyman: “Colours that I think will be on trend this season will be richer chocolates and bright marmalade coppers, complete with deeper roots and slightly lighter ends.”

4) Cheryl Munoz, Style Director, Kensington

Cheryl: “In terms of cut, mid-length hair will continue to be on trend, but I think we will see more accessories used in hair styling, whether it be clips, hairbands or simply a scrunchie.”

5) Stephen Low, Style Director, Marylebone

Stephen: “From side partings with large grips, to top knots with oversized hair pins, accessories are the perfect tools to update a hairstyle.”
