Inside the Tara Zadeh AW18 Collection

Featuring cross body mini-totes and pochettes, the focus for this season lies in smaller shapes.

Statement handbags have been a constant favourite, making our latest find all the more exciting. A graduate of the prestigious Parsons New School in New York City, Tara Ghazanfar founded Tara Zadeh to combine her own multi-cultural heritage with the finest craftsmanship to create a delicious range of arm-candy (we’re honestly obsessed).

The label’s AW18 collection ‘Velvet on the Ground’, channels the individuality of Iranian architecture, using geometric and symmetrical elements. The colour palette has a vintage aesthetic incorporating shades such as bottle green, rosewood pink and caspian blue with pops of yellow and gold – an instant reminder of the vibrancy of Iranian mosaics while also capturing Ghazanfar’s energy.

Designed in London, produced in the Serrania de Ronda Mountains, a region in Spain famous for its leather industry and with a design philosophy built around channeling the designer’s French-American-Iranian heritage, the label ultimately culminates in a collection with a truly international spirit.
