The First Look at Nike’s Joyride

Though as a team we love discovering new workouts and are definitely major fitness enthusiasts, we can safely say we steer clear of anything involving a lot of running. However, we might just rethink our choices because of Nike’s latest running innovation: Joyride.

With a footbed created using thousands of TPE beads (which are a copolymer of plastic and rubber), the insole adapts to your foot, making it incredibly comfortable. The beads are located inside several pods that are tuned to enable the foam to expand according to your stride. This one of a kind system has high impact absorption, resulting in a sensation that Nike says is like running on bubbles.

The Joyride tech will first be seen in the Nike Joyride Run Flyknit, available on the 15th of August.
