Our discovery of contemporary design label Talar Nina earlier this year, had left us completely head over heels. The brand’s signature style has the ability to transform wardrobe basics into statement pieces; a craft that’s rare to master. After adding some jewels from their AW17 range into our wardrobes (think the ‘Geo’ bomber and the ‘Geo’ joggers), the label recently presented its ‘Eastern Promise’ collection, bringing us more such sartorial treasure.
The label revamps a classic bomber jacket once again, this time with the ‘Gigi’ Bomber’s fusion of rich embroidery with a casual, street style aesthetic, making it a ‘must-have’ for our wardrobes.
Talar Bilemjian, founder and designer of the Dubai-based label, excels in creating intricately designed pieces, which instantly up the oomph factor of any #OOTD. In the ‘Eastern Promise’ collection, she creates an aesthetic that imbibes the ideal day-to-night effortlessness; smart formal looks for the day, that have a touch of glamour for a night out, all whilst not being over-the-top. The collection also has a unique characteristic of amalgamating graceful, traditional embroidery with the more ‘boyish’ modern street-style aesthetic, which we are in love with.
